Bermuda

Bermuda is located in the northern part of the Caribbean Sea – a little more than 1000 km off the coast of North Carolina – but this archipelago of 120 islands and islets has a soul 100% Caribbean. Blessed by the Gulf Stream, crystal clear waters and pink sands of Bermuda compete with those of more tropical climes.

The Bermuda had no indigenous inhabitant when a British ship, the Sea Venture, was wrecked on the treacherous reefs in 1609, forcing its passengers and crew, headed to Virginia, to eke out an existence. The incident created a lasting bond between Britain and Bermuda, which remains a stalwart member of the Commonwealth. Recreational opportunities abound in Bermuda.
